It emphasizes climate change, land-use shifts, and their role in increasing wildfire frequency and intensity. The framework helps guide decisions on managing ecosystems by focusing on resistance (preventing undesired changes), acceptance (adapting to inevitable shifts), and directing changes to meet long-term goals.

The report predicts a global rise in extreme wildfires and calls for adopting the “Fire Ready Formula,” which integrates elements to better prepare and respond to wildfires worldwide
